Prof. P.V.N. Prasad joined as the Principal of Keshav Memorial Engg. College on 1st April 2023. Previously, he has served as Dean (Faculty of Engineering), Member (Academic Senate), Additional Controller of Examinations (EDP), Chairperson, Board of Studies (EE) and Head, Dept. of Electrical Engg., Osmania University. Also, he was Director, Information Dissemination Centre and Director of Curriculum Development, Audit & Accreditation Centre in University College of Engg. He has got a total teaching, research and administrative experience of 34 years and a brief 2 yr. experience in industry.He obtained his B.Tech. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engg. from J.N.T.U, Hyderabad in 1983, M.E (Industrial Drives & Control) in 1986 and PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2002 from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He joined in Osmania University as Lecturer in Kothagudem School of Mines in 1987 and later transferred as Asst. Professor to Department of Electrical Engg., University College of Engg. in 1995. He was promoted as Assoc. Professor in 1998 and later became Professor in 2006.

He has published more 130 technical papers in various National & International Journals & Conferences and these publications have more than 570 citations. He has supervised more than 50 students for the award of M.E / M.Tech. Under his guidance, 7 students were awarded PhD in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University and JNTUH. Also he has adjudicated more 50 PhD theses from J.N.T Universities, S.V University, N.I.Ts, Nagarjuna University, K.L University, Visweswaraya Technological University, Vignan University and Anna University. He visited countries like Thailand, Italy, U.S.A and Singapore to present technical papers in International conferences. His research areas include Reliability Engineering and Electric Drives.

He was nominated as Chairman, Expert Committee of UGC, Granting of Autonomous Status, Member, NBA Accreditation Committee, Chancellor’s Nominee, JNTUH, Chairman, Board of Studies (EEE), Mahatma Gandhi University and Member, Board of Studies in various affiliated colleges of OU and JNTU, Member, Task Force, Dept. of Technical Education. He is a Fellow in IEI (India) and member in ISTE and IEEE (Reliability Society).
